"Every extension of knowledge
arises from transforming
the unconscious into the conscious."

-Friedrich Nietzsche

"A child is a creature of possibilities.
They have many choices every day.
Actually, the same goes for adults."

- Hayao Miyazaki

“Common sense is the collection of
prejudices acquired by age eighteen.”

-Albert Einstein

What if....what we call challenges are not “problems” at all?

What if....what we are used to calling "the possibilities"
might be just another form of limiting thinking?

If we can create space around our assumptions,
around the things we take for granted in our daily life,
the world becomes alive and full of possibility.

But it can be challenging to create that space
when we are caught up in our day to day living.

So.....

Join us for a special time of creating space around our experience
with an online game!

What creative possibilities might this experience open in you?

The game experience is designed to create a fun and supportive environment even for those nervous about playing for the first time; play begins in small groups designed to provide a safe atmosphere to interact and experience the game.

In the game, you use various items (money, time, etc.) and take various actions to reach a given goal. Negotiating and communicating with other players is one of the most exciting aspects of the game.

Who we are

Possible World is provided by Imacocollabo, a non-profit corporation founded in Japan in 2016. Imacocollabo is also known as the provider of the 2030 SDGs Game, a card game-based workshop that has been experienced by more than 250,000 people in 30 countries around the world and has more than 1,100 certified facilitators around the world.

The meaning of Imacocollabo:

The name "Imacocollabo" comes from "ima" (meaning now, not someday), "coco" (meaning here, not somewhere else). It's not about aiming for perfection, but rather about exploring from imperfection – taking action and learning from the results, as one experiments in a laboratory. Finally, the name also contains "collaboration", an invitation to discover and create together.

Experience Possible World

Events are held in various languages, mainly Japanese and English, so please choose the session you prefer from the links below.

Even if you are not a native speaker of English, we still invite you to join us in English. Many people say "I don't speak much English", but communication is about so much more than language. Even if you only speak a few words of English, this workshop will give you the opportunity to use gestures and other technologies to communicate and try to understand. Please feel free to come and join us.

FAQ

The following environment is recommended.
  • ・Personal computer
(Tablets and smartphones cannot be used as a main device, but can be used as a second device for zoom connection.)
  • ・Headset / microphone and earphones
  • ・Browser: Chrome, Edge, or Safari
  • ・Zoom: Version 5.3.0 or later
  • ・Fast and stable network connection

No, you will need a personal computer.

Yes, it is possible.

If this interests you, we recommend that you first attend a session in your native language to get a sense of the level of language required for dialogue during the game and reflections.

The level of language proficiency required depends on the workshop organizer, so feel free to read the event details of each workshop and give it a try.

Incidentally, some workshops organized by Imacocollabo have the theme of "going beyond the language barrier."

In that case, a junior high school level of English is sufficient for the conversation required for the game. In addition to speaking, you can also use Google Translate and text chat to instantly understand the game to some extent.

In some cases, a higher level of language ability is required for the reflection portion of the workshop, but as long as you have a desire to communicate, there are ways to do it. As long as you have the desire to communicate, there are many ways to make it work.

It depends on their IT literacy, sociability, and mental maturity.

In the past, we have had children in the upper grades of elementary school who were good at computers join the adults in the group. The fact that this child was in elementary school was not even mentioned by the adult participants.

Yes, you can. We even recommend that you attend the workshop with a friend, as it can enhance the experience of going beyond boundaries.

The game rules are practically the same, but the experience is completely different.

The 2030 SDGs Game is designed to be an experience based on the real world. Possible World, on the other hand, is a "testing ground for a possible world," and is designed to be more of a free experience, unbound by conventional ideas.

This "freedom" also applies to the facilitators who are hosting the game. The 2030 SDGs Game was designed to have a certain uniformity regardless of who facilitates the experience, but in Possible World, even the rules can change depending on the facilitator.
